Our approach
At DBF, we embrace a play-based approach to teaching and learning, aligned with the EYFS framework. Our methodology supports children in reaching developmental milestones through interest-based planning, continuous and enhanced provision, and high-quality interactions. Inspired by the pedagogies of Reggio Emilia, Maria Montessori, and modern approaches like the Curiosity Approach, we blend various educational philosophies to create an enriching learning environment. We prioritise well-being by utilising the Leuven scales, ensuring that every child at DBF thrives emotionally and socially throughout their time with us.
Our community
At DBF, our community is the cornerstone of our school. We offer a comprehensive transition program that starts with our stay-and-plays and extends through to our playgroups, ensuring your child feels well-established and comfortable before they even begin formal schooling. Our vibrant community life includes a variety of events such as shows, assemblies, and stay-and-learns, bringing together families and fostering a strong sense of belonging. DBF truly lies at the heart of the community, creating a supportive and connected environment for all.
